As we get closer to our transition to UCPath Talent Acquisition Management (TAM), I want to draw your attention to a few important dates regarding recruiting and hiring.

Editor’s note: The following CalMessage was sent to Berkeley faculty on July 18, 2019. It represents a collaborative team comprised of Berkeley Regional Services (BRS), Visiting Scholar and Postdoc Affairs (VSPA), the Berkeley International Office (BIO), UCPath and the VC Research Office who have developed a revised process for the timely collection of University Services fees for Visiting Scholars and Visiting Student Researchers. This change was required as critical system checks in the previous process could not be supported through UCPath without significant customization. 

The next edition of Berkeley Regional Services “BRS Insights” e-newsletter, is almost ready for distribution! This bi-monthly newsletter is intended to keep interested faculty and staff abreast of region-related news and information and point to relevant resources for more in-depth information.

Dear Reader/Tutors and Supervisors,

We have important news to share -- a new application has been created which will allow Reader/Tutors to record their hours worked using an online app instead of completing a paper timesheet. This application will bring significant relief from manual data entry by our Payroll teams and increase the accuracy and availability of timesheets.

What is the High Five Program?

The “High Five” program is part of the BEST Region’s commitment to award our staff for outstanding performance and dedication to our clients, campus partners, and to each other. Those being nominated will have a chance at receiving an Amazon gift card.

GAEL and UCRP interest allocation related to PPS payroll expense transfers was not received in time for posting to April and was posted in May.

Please note that the existing Campus Shared Services (CSS) website will be decommissioned at the end of this month. The site will become deactivated, beginning on June 3-4. 

Late Thursday (May 16), there was an incident near the March AirForce base in Riverside, which is very close to the UCPath Center. 

Due to the ongoing investigation of the incident, access to the UCPath Center and other local businesses is cut-off. 

As a result we are curtailing normal operations of the UCPath Center today, May 17. Phone and chat services will be unavailable today. However we will continue to process on-line cases and transactions. UCPath online is fully available.
